We’re tourists from China mainland，and we have obtained an Australian touist visa.we’re going to transfer from Ho Chi Minh airport in Vietnam to Australia, and we’re not going to leave the closed area of the airport.

I’ll direct fly from Hong Kong to Phu Quoc Island.
I’m not a permanent resident of Hong Kong.
I’m a Hong Kong resident only.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing to ask if I need to apply for a Vietnam visa in my condition.
I am planning to take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City with China southern Airlines from Beijing. And then I will take a next flight, operated by Cambodia Angkor Air, from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap. As I do not have checked-in luggage with me, do I need a Vietnam visa in order to catch my next flight?
