Answer
Dear CE SHEN,
Thank you for contacting us. We are a travel agency based in Vietnam.
If you’re heading to Phu Quoc Island as your initial stop in Vietnam, you qualify for a 30-day visa exemption specifically for Phu Quoc, regardless of whether you’re a foreigner or a Vietnamese citizen holding a foreign passport. To put it simply, visitors from other countries do not require a Vietnam visa if their stay on Phu Quoc Island is 30 days or less.
To be exempted from Phu Quoc visa, foreigners must follow some of the requirements below:
- Your passport is valid for 6 months from the date of entry.
- Fly from your country of residence to Phu Quoc via Phu Quoc International Airport. Whether flying direct/indirect/transit, your final destination must be Phu Quoc.
- Valid departure date (airline ticket, cruise departure date, etc.) shows that your stay in Phu Quoc island is no more than 30 days.
- Only airports or seaports can issue this type of visa.
