So what is 5-year visa exemption?

This can be considered as a long-term visa (also known as a 5-year visa) so that the certificate holder can visit Vietnam at any time for 5 years.

If you have 5-year visa exemption, you won’t have to apply for another visa to travel to Vietnam anymore for 5 years. Besides, you are allowed to stay in Vietnam for 180 days at maximum for each visit. After 180 days, you will need to leave Vietnam and then enter again.
